Earlier this year the Gallery did the unthinkable, They threw a party on a Saturday night (For the first time in their 11 year history)
The party in question was The Gallery: Gold, a cheeky retrospective evening of pure Gallery magic featuring theyre greatest Djs from yesteryear, all back together under one roof, for one unmissable night. Fast forwarding a few months and they thought they would do it all over again, only this time theyre holding the bash over the Bank holiday weekend. Friday the 25th of August 2006.
The Gallery: gold line up, reads like a who’s who in House music. Every single Dj playing on the night is pretty much a legend in their own right and each of them a favourite with the Gallery faithfull. Split across three dance floors, The Gallery gold is like a wet dream for the hedonists from the 1990’s.
Lets begin with the main room where the notorious Dj pairing of Brandon Block and Alex P will be “aving it large” with the rest of us as they headline this special one off event.
Its been quiet a while since the both played at The Gallery together, so this is certainly not an occasion to be missed as the two warriors will battle it out.
Also on main room duty will be the man in the hat, the uber-glam Jeremy Healy, plus Jon please wimmin, now known as the Visitor (on wall of sound records) reverting back to the old days for one last time. The final set of the night, The grand Finale, will be left in the hands of Gallery super resident Steve Lee……….well it had to be, didn’t it?
Steve has made the final set his over the last 10 years at The Gallery and so its only right that he has the honour of finishing off this huge Bank holiday bonanza.
The legendary jock will also entertain the masses in T2 a few hours earlier, as he hosts the intimate T2 room where his party goes off every month! The luscious Lisa Loud and the maverick Mark Moore along with SoulTnuts will be joining Steve behind the decks, whilst over in T3 there’s even more fine music to look forward to as U.S. hero Marshall Jefferson makes a rare return alongside fellow gallery hero’s Alistar Whitehead and Hacienda lord and master,Greame Park.
A golden night for the gallery Faithful.
