A few months ago I purchased an Olympus Voice-Trek v-821 so that I could record some ambient sounds for making tunes.
Its been a fun little hobby, the device is small enough to carry in my backpack and I can rip it out when I hear anything interesting on my travels around Tokyo, Train station announcements, restaurant ambiance etc.
Ive also been a big fan of the web site Freesounds.org which is a platform for creative commons audio samples.Anyone who makes music has used stuff of this web site.
So I decided to make my own page on the web site and Ill be uploading as often as possible.So check it out if your in need of some new ambient samples.
